Hello all,

Second time I visit this site and already having a question. Can somebody help me?
This is the problem. I invaded with German troops the islands Corsica and Sardinia. All went well and I conquered these lands. Because the Sicilians were strong in these lands, I had to invade with a large number of troops. And now I want part of these troops back to Italy again. But the program, for unclear reasons, won't let me. Why? I control the sealanes with my troops. Can anybody answer this question?
I would be much obliged.

Maurits (This was a Dutch king once)

You propably destroyed the port when invading these Islands. So you should be OK moving your troops again after you build a port again

That is because Corsica and Sardinia did not have a PORT or you destroyed it. You will need to spent 750 GP for one port to ship them out, back to Italy.

I think this is one of the worst parts of MTW, only the Vikings can go on sea from everywhere.

Until you have built a port, your troops will not be able to move to Italy.

This is why you must be very cautious about invading an island, because if you win your army is effectively stranded for at least Four years until a port is built... So make sure you can spare the troops

(lose and your army will probably be captured without a retreat, so make sure you don't)

Also take into account that if your King was with these armies you used, he is also cut of from your other provinces and that can also have a negative effect on the loyalty of the other provinces

http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wave.gif Hello Maurits. Since your troops are standed in Corsica and Sardina, kick up your shoes and stay for awhile - your port won't be ready for another 4 years. Any other questions you have while you're waiting? http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/joker.gif
