Hey there http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wave.gif

I searched here but couldnt find anything, and unfortunately nor could I in the Tech folder.

Anyways, I am receiving garbled speech on the capmaign map (like when you are told your year's Koku), and within the throne room.

I am using Windows XP, and have a Sound Blaster Live 5.1.

I have patched Shogun to 1.12, and updates all my soundcard drivers etc. Anyone experienced similar / any ideas? http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif

Wilbo, this is all I could find on that topic, though it does ring a bell: Warlord sound problems (http://www.totalwar.org/cgi-bin/forum/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=23;t=1179;hl=stw+and+chop)

The cause of the problem is a bit on the techie side, so it may not be your problem.

My sound now works perfectly http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif

Heres some things I have done today for anyone who would like to know:
Uninstalled Nimo codec pack
Uninstalled DivX 5.0.2
Installed new DivX
Reinstalled Media Plyer 9

Something I did there fixed it... But Im not sure what...

Anyways I'm happy, as I can now hear that stupid Portugese accent Yay http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

yeah, that's an old one. i'd guess it was the nimo codec. some older versions of winamp would cause this also.

greg, could you move this to the apothecary and i'll add it to our solutions topic.

K.
