Campaign victory question...

Is there any difference between winning 2/3 of provinces and winning them all? If I go ahead and tough it out to take all the lands is there a cool movie or naked boobies or anything???

Yup. I did 100/100 conquest once, but it was painful(grrr rebellions), and didn't bring anything. Do it once, just to be sure you can do it(the latest 10/100 are often tricky). But personally, I'll never do it again. 60/100 is good enough.

In VI there is a big difference in the story told in the victory-screen. 2/3 gets you a we didn't quite make it unsatisfactory speech, while a total victory gives you a better review in the end.

You havent seen the VI end video yet? It shows a longboat landing on a beach, then dozens of naked viking women pour out. Then there is all kinds of pillow fighting, jello wresling, and whipped cream body art. Sure beats the hell out of the shogun tokyo statue ending. Did I mention the jello?

I was disappointed in the ending. I do not know what I was expecting but I didn't get it. I would like to see a recap of key moments like when a faction is eliminated. Something on the level of the Civ 3 ending would be nice.

(Personally, Ham only plays to the 60-70% or so level....as after that, it really drags down and you spend too much time managing production and movement.....and you've essentially won anyway.)

No, but when the game ends you still win a minor victory, as long as you still have those 60%.

So if I have VI installed, and play typical Medieval to 60%, will I get the same ending as I would if I got 100%?

I got 100% on Vi, as the Welsh, but never managed it in Medieval.

I believe the speech for the medieval campaign is the same with 60% as 100%. I'm not 100% http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/rolleyes.gif sure though. The text at the bottom of the screen changes though.

The speech is not the same for 60 % and 100%. To hear them look in your mtwfolder under sounds/gameend/vikings.
