Hi folks,

Anyone experienced VI with the border from Wessex to Flanders removed?

I've just tried this and as the game progesses the game turns, where the AI does its "thinking" become unbearably slow? http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/frown.gif

Has anyone (Wes?) experienced the same slowing when borders are removed?

Help?

I have played with the shortcut removed but have not noticed the slowdown.

I was not playing as the english or french though so that may have made a difference.

Well, I removed the link back in December, and I have never heard of it affecting the game, and I can't think of any reason why it should.
I *have* noticed that sometimes the thinking lights don't progress at a steady rate from one faction to another. One of the CA guys would have to explain why, but it's probably because a decision is setting off specific subroutines that may not be needed every turn. I usually notice it with the Mongols, myself.

In fact, I have never heard of *anything* making the AI turns unbearably slow, though I don't frequent the Apothecary.
