I was thinking the same thing nicolasredfern http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif
But we'll leave it here for a day or so, to see if anyone bites.

I always just tend to give myself units I shouldn't have or play around with their stats a bit. I always play the main campaign at the moment with loads of foot knights and with peasants removed. A little tweak to some of the building times on things like castles and the game suits me perfectly. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

The only modding I've done is to make the Varangian Guard available in all periods. I don't like loosing the option to build them later on as I'm a big fan of having as many special units as I can (ie, the Spanish or Turks).

I know if I went any deeper into modding the game it would turn into this huge project I probably never be able to get done. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Hello and welcome iisomaii. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wave.gif

The regulars here are well aware of my fondness for bad humour, so I'll refrain from calling you Four i's http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/joker.gif Aren't you glad I spared you?

BTW, if I was a modder, I'd have the same modding philosophy. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

I have increased royal knights to 40 and added some ammo to missle units. I was not going to mod at all but there is an easy to use editor in the dungeon. This is as far as I will go.

Pre VI, I played around with some unit sizes (mostly the order knights and king/heir units, both catholic and muslim), made availible foot knights, and changed a few unit honor bonus provences. (woo hoo honor 1 milita seargents from tuscany with full weapon and armour upgrades&#33http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif.

Of course, when I installed VI, all of my carefull work was gone. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/mecry.gif So far I've been too lazy to go through it all again.

I change starting positions and unit build/faction requirements. I also change starting unit and building placement.

I like to give each faction only a couple of provinces and fill the board with strong rebel forces.

Alliances and marriages seem to be more common until kingdoms start bumping into each other.
