I used to play quite a bit of flight combat simulation game. One feature that I find very useful was voice reports coming from my wingman about enemy locations, 'Bogey at six o'clock' for example.

So I'm thinking, what if CA can add similar feature to TW battle. Imagine this; you and a handfull of highlanders are hiding in the forest on a hill. Meanwhile below, some units of Englishmen are marching slowly. Suddenly you're spotted One of your captain immediately shouted 'My lord, they've seen us How cool wouldn't that be.

Basically, what I'm suggesting is expanding whatever audio reports that is already in TW to include not only dead generals or retreats but also other events.

A few other examples:
'My lord, there are enemy behind us'
'Ambush'
'Enemy reinforcement ahead'
'Enemy artillery destroyed'
etc.

That would be pretty cool but there's probably a downside to it I can't see right now.

It would be very nice to have a little help from advisors with simple little cues like you suggested. You can't be everywhere at once.

Yeh, a nice idea. Its good to hear some voices around to tell us whats going on. I think it will be nice to hear from the enemy's side too. Imagine your enemy saying AMBUUUUUUUSHH H*ll yeah that would be cute. The horns are nice to hear but I can not tell which units are attacking and retreating. A messenger saying which unit is being attacked or withdrawing would be nice. I sometimes lose track of my units in larger battles.

Umm, what's the guy that holds the Knights shiel called? Well, the commentator should also be a person on the battlefield, and should have a range of view and such, not just like a godly persona.

Hopefully someone from CA read this thread. Perhaps they can incorporate this suggestion into future TW.
