Is there any way of keeping the new units and factions from VI in MTW after uninstalling VI.

Possibly...

You would have to keep all the relevant files, titles and graphics. It would be alot of work but it is doable.

Can't see why not. just have to locate the files and copy them some place else. Then uninstall and put them back in the right folders. To use thess units and factions you would have to mod the production files. Like Sir Robin said, it is a lot of work but you can do it, if you have patience enough for such a task.
