Historical Generals

I've been adding some historical generals to some factions but they don't appear when they are supposed to they normally appear about 20 years after the date thats in the default_heroes.txt file, Anyone else having this problem & is there a way around it?

I have been using this feature alot (adding heroes)and I found when editing the HEROES OR VIKINGS DEFAULT files that the date they are "supposed" to appear is an approximation, they usually appear on around the date listed, the conditions have to be right also i.e. if the unit is for a general does the unit chosen support that? You can also edit the date,stats such as Loyalty,Accumen etc.
province the Hero shows up in . The default is ID_LIMBO which means the hero will show in a random province of the faction he belongs to.
You can edit the Names and the portraits to match ( check the Nap. Mod thread for screenshots of Napoleon and The Duke Of Wellington). All in all a nice feature. LOS

I got my own historical general to appear on the right date by assigning him a province to spawn in, i haven't had a chance to retest it yet & i'm out of coke so sleep beckons http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wave.gif
