View Full Version : Removing the Sea Marmara from the game?
The Byzantine's are still poor at forming trade routes in VI.
The main reason being they always fail to leave a ship in the Sea Marmara. So, the only solution is to remove it from the game and join up the Black Sea and the Aegean.
I've tinkered with the startpos file with no success so far, can anyone help here? At the moment i've got some weird crap going whereby ships can enter the Sea Marmara, but can't leave it? LOL
Anyone?
Wes of Wesmod knows - he did it both for the Sea of Marmara (Byzantines) and Adriatic (Italians) to help them out.

Go into the startpos folder and edit the campaign text file within ((example: early.txt)).
Locate the following lines:
==============================
SetNeighbours:: ID_SEA_MARMARA ID_CONSTANTINOPLE ID_BLACK_SEA ID_AEGEAN_SEA
SetBorderInfo:: ID_SEA_MARMARA ID_CONSTANTINOPLE 23384 16328 0 ARID AT_EASTERN_EUROPEAN COAST FLAT NO_RIVER
Change them to:
===================
//SetNeighbours:: ID_SEA_MARMARA ID_CONSTANTINOPLE ID_BLACK_SEA ID_AEGEAN_SEA
//SetBorderInfo:: ID_SEA_MARMARA ID_CONSTANTINOPLE 23384 16328 0 ARID AT_EASTERN_EUROPEAN COAST FLAT NO_RIVER
Voila No more sea of marmara.
