Kings die to young [Archive]

How do you make kings live a little longer? I've tried changing the start date in the startpos files to 0,that didn't work my king started with an age of -650777 or somthing like that and died straight away,maybe somone out there has done this http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif

I've read that if you leave them in a crusade, they live forever as long as they remain in that crusade.

But remeber Crusades dont last forever - if the objective province isnt reached (within a certain time frame) it is disbanded and you get that pic from above of everyone lying down dead.

why do you want them to live longer in the first place? people were dyuing young at that time ( especially those byzanine emperors) ...
