Just downloaded to MTW file section, 4 nice MP maps. 3 of them are large historical battlefields and the 4th is Totomi. I have retextured Classic Totomi so it is restored as it was a load of jumbled textures.

It's my pleasure Lamorak http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
Daevorn, you may be a little disappointed with Totomi but I hope not. Shogun maps were smaller than those in MTW so you will find you don't have much room to deploy but I still see it as having the potential for a truly memorable battle. Don't expect a flashy map it's quite plain....the best ones usually are...
Which leads me to my next point. Sko, my advice to you is to keep your maps simple. There are some truly splendid looking maps however they become either impractical or impossible for MP http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/frown.gif
Whenever I make a map I keep models to a minimum and generally out of the way. Models are notorious for bugging unit movement, they can be really impressive to look at but a nightmare to play. Water is not worth the hassle quite frankly for the same reasons.
I made a flat large map as a base and edit it to create my new maps. These I try to make interesting by adding features, height/trees etc in a way that favours neither side.
The texture matching can be a pain as the matching tiles are not all grouped together, some have to be searched for.
There you go...get map making http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
Now all we have to do is get people using the custom maps I bet there's a real classic out there just waiting to be discovered

Call me stupid, or maybe my red hat felt on my eyes and I can't see a thing, but I don't find it...
For the dumb among us Orda (me included), can you post a link?
Thanks,

Does anyone know of any city maps (ie lots of buildings?)
Thanks
Konnichiwa,
Pagoda city made by Kraellin for STW. Don't know about a citymap for MTW.
There is a city map made by Alrowan. It is the city of.....i can't remember the name anymore (must be beer and heat combo)...i think it was acre. The map has a coast and a city next to the coast. It is a desert map and is absolutely brilliant. There are plenty of hambush spots for hashishin in between the buildings.

Totomi, that brings back very bad memories, the numerous camping humps where muskies could be happily lined up on, the amount of times i lost on that, gah
