Ok, here me out.

I love 3 way battles, they are fun to me but there just isnt enough. You can't just go back a turn and put your troops in allies territory without breaking an alliance, even if you know they are going to be attack next turn, but yet they can come in to support you. It's just not possible...or is it? Here's my idea. Now I would save before say turn 15 and the Viking invade the Picts up north. I reload and they do it again, and again, and again. So no matter what when I hit End Year the Vikings are invading, so isnt that sort of coded? The move is set and the computer knows it so, would it be possible to set it up where if an ally is to be attacked, it will permit your troops in it in no fear of breaking the alliance? That way your sending help in and are able to defend with your allies. Is that at all possible do you think? Feedback welcome.

Nope... http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/frown.gif

Unless someone hacks the files for diplomatic/treaty conditions. Then you are getting into actual programming and lord knows what you might break.

Changing one thing can lead to breaking others. I know if I tried I would probably cause something silly to happen. Like all the Kings dying when they turn fifty-six. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/rolleyes.gif

The way I get three way battles is to invade a province where my allies are besieged by lots of bad guys.

The other way is to invade a province with a crusade or crusades. I've fought 5 way battles in this fashion (me versus 4 crusade factions including the province owner).

(No. They didn't help each other much).
