Noticed this twice now.

I've been besieged in a coastal province by one faction when another enemy faction - in both cases the Vikings - has invaded by sea and pulverised the lot of us. The fact that I've got all adjacent seas blockaded doesn't seem to prevent this.
Presumably the reason is that technically the province doesn't belong to me but surely my fleets should stop any amphibious assaults on my troops.

Unless they were bribed.....

Well, have you been in a state of war with the Vikings before that happened? If so, what you stated shouldn't be possible, as they would have to destroy your ships first before they can launch that naval invasion.
But if you weren't at war with them, it might be possible for them to invade as the province really didn't belong to you, only the castle did. However, even if they beat you, they can't retreat from there (if you do a counter attack) as now you're at war with them and in order to retreat, they'd have to defeat your fleet off the coast first.

Hold "v" and if the sea square is red, it's blockaded.

CA cheaped the naval game and it shows. Given the importance it plays in the game you would think it would have been better implemented.
