Modding question - titles

Alright, first post here...

I've been trying to mod the game (VI) to give Sicilians more historically correct names. I changed the default_heroes.txt file to use the Sicilian forenames list instead of the Scottish (should say 4, not 14), then edited the list to include more Anglo-Norman names, and created a surname list with French names.

But, my question is, is there anyway to change how the game assigns titles such as Sir and Don to certain factions? I want the Sicily to have the same Sir scheme as England, France, etc, instead of the current Don scheme of Spain and Italy. Is this possible?

Trust me, Don is far more historically accurate... (I'm Sicilian in descent, so I would know)

If you decide to change it you can edit Don in the Names txt to read Sir just change the Don inside the curly brackets {Don} to read {Sir}.So it should look like this [Don] {Sir}

The Sicilian rulers were Normans (Norwegian blood, French culture and language), of course Sir should be the name.

I had problems while editing titles for Scotland and Wales. It would show up as 'Title Earl of Scotland', instead of just 'Earl of Scotland'. This didn't happen for any other provinces, mind you, just for the Celtic ones...

I noticed that also in the startpos files under titles/offices it has the word Title in the entry just edit it out and it will work just fine title King of Scotland to King of Scotland Save and play http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
