Damaged buildings

I was just wondering, when you capture a province, what is the differnce between destroyed and damaged buildings? I have played MTW since it came out but I have never noticed a difference. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif

Destroyed buildings are completely removed from a province. Damaged buildings go down one level eg spearmakers workshop degrades to spearmaker.

Damaged buildings have upgrade(s) destroyed----Bowyer workshop becomes a basic bowyer, etc etc.
