I distinctly remember that there will be a vomitarium.

It probably serves the purpose of accommodating high-profile figures in the Roman power structure. It is one of those new "add-ons", small buildings that enhance and support large, central buildings. That is the style of building construction that RTW is leaning towards.

Oh BTW

Lets try to remember that it's not all about Rome here...

What buildings should Carthage, Egypt, Greece, and the Barbarians have?

Kongamato: it’s vomitorium.

The vomitorium, as the name tells it, was a (not very pleasant) place where Roman gentlemen could go and throw up in an organized manner. They were helped by skilled slaves, some transporting them, some holding them and some tickling their honorable throats with long feathers (hopefully one-use).
Why did they do that? Because of their parties. They had loooong parties, going on for days (and nights). They were eating and drinking constantly. It was rude to leave the villa too soon, so they had to empty their bellies one way or another. As the “one way” was naturally slow, it remained the other way – the way food got there in the first place.
Now – I wonder – what would a “vomitorium” do in MTW? Improve morale, probably, as I hope you won’t be able to built anything with it…

Apparently the vomitorium is included. Quote from the .com RTW forum:

Quote[/b] ]I'm not entirely sure that decency comes into it with some of the vices. Those Romans, you know, had some rather naughty and/or repulsive habits - hence the inclusion of a Vomitorium on the Roman tech tree, and quite a few of the current crop of vices and virtues. They were a bloody-minded lot at at times.

I've no idea how many VnVs there will be at the end of the process. The whole thing is work in progress at the moment, and (other) CA people still need to do a bit of a review to make sure they aren't too surreal. So "Hates Bananas" is unlikely to be in the published version of the game.

Add to the list;
-ballista towers - Gotta love shooting the heck out of attacking armies.
-slave market - I'll need somewhere to sell all those prisoners of war.
-Vigilies office - law and order, no one shall question my rule (or not for very long anyway )
-A prison - To put the aforementioned dissenters in while awaiting trial.
-little corner shops that sell fast food - every good Roman ate from these stands so they can spread 'Romanity' and make me a meal while I'm playing.
-Wine merchants - Wine=Roman civilisation to the barbarians Wine merchants will sell to the locals increasing their 'Romanity' and making me some denarii.
-A laundry - All good Romans must look their best while carrying out state business. Wearing a dirty toga while telling the senate you are announcing yourself dictator for life is not a good idea. Plus I will need some where to wash out all the bloodstains from my troops uniforms
-Triumphal arches and other victory monuments - I want to celebrate my glorious achievements in style while contributing to my favourite cities.

All of the above are serious recommendations, even if they do sound a little funny. And before anyone asks, yes the Romans did have fast food, but unlike modern fast food it tasted OK
