Hello everyone. I have used WW's Medieval Mod for a while and loved it so I thought I'd give another mod a shot. But I can't get Interregnum installed. I tried the exe file on the web page and no luck. The directions said to copy to the medieval folder, the files are there but no new factions etc. when starting a new game.
Tried to unzip to a file and then copy to med folder, and tried to unzip straight into med folder. Any ideas? (Do you need VI installed?, have tried with and without it)

Yes u need VI installed
I think the file is in rar format so u need winrar to open it u can get it at http://www.rarsoft.com it functions the same as winzip(only better). So i would just extract it to your medieval totalwar folder, then check to make sure that it has extracted properly by having a look in the mtw/campmap/startpos folder & c if the interregnum start positions file is there.

Greetings and welcome maximus2001.
Are you also sure you are installing Interregnum on a clean copy of VI? You said you were playing the Med Mod, so could it be you have some of those files around messing things up?

Hello again,
I downloaded the Winrar, and will try again. I thought it might be med mod too, so I installed VI and interregnum to my 2nd hard drive. Thanks for the reply.

No joy. Reinstalled everything (and made sure there was nothing left in old medieval folder), unRAR'd the mod, and copied it to D/programs/total war/medieval-total war. I see the Interregnum mod folder in the directory, but when I start a new game its the same factions no matter what period. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif
Yeah that the problem, you shouldnt see a seperate Interregnum folder. The contents of this folder needs to be copied over to the Medieval - Total War folder, in the process over-writing some existing files. At the moment you probably just have all the Interregnum files sitting in a seperate folder doing nothing http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/tongue.gif
Hope you enjoy my mod

Should I manually copy folder by folder (campmap folder to campmap, etc.), or try to copy each item inside folders. I need to check out the Teutonic Grand Master http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/tongue.gif
Just move the folder in my RAR/ZIP file named Medieval - Total War onto your existing one of the same name, it will ask if you want to overwrite just select overwrite all

Thanks Grell. I copied the CONTENTS of the mod medieval folder straight into the Total War/Medieval total war folder, and lo and behold it works(like you said). Before, I was just copying the Medieval Total War folder straight into the Total War folder and that's why it just sat there. Drinking too much caffeine must have confused me heh. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/joker.gif
Anyway it looks great, loads of new units whoo boy Look out Alexander Nevsky http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/eek.gif
