View Full Version : I WILL buy RTW

In case any of you are confused, the "I WILL buy RTW regardless of whether or not VI is patched" thread was merged the "I will not buy RTW unless VI is patched" thread. I see no mention of Soly and Shiro letting us in on that so I thought I'd take care of it. It is the top sticky(or just at the very top, if you prefer) and all the posts from both threads have been placed inside.

Lol, thanks for telling. When I saw this thread with 0 replies I thought something was wrong http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Ok this was a very moronic thing to do DoL... http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/rolleyes.gif

The threads were merged for a reason, dont you think?

Allow me to spoon feed you some of the reasons a thread with this 'sub topic' should not be around.

IT IS DIRECTLY COUNTERPRODUCTIVE TO THE EFFORTS MADE BY THE MTW COMMUNITY WHO ASK FOR A PATCH TO BE RELEASED FOR MTW:VI http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/pissed.gif

How can u not understand this???

Most people who state that they will not buy RTW unless VI is patched are dead serious, and most come from the MP part of the community where the current bugs are a REAL TERMINAL problem. A great many feel that the 56 year bug is as well. So what is your point with adding a 'sub topic' like the one you've chosen??? http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/mad.gif

Call your thread 'I WILL buy RTW' all u like, but show some respect and decency and leave the really unneccessary 'wether or not VI gets patched' subtopic out of it.

Or do you just want to show the rest of the community how little you care about their concerns for the game.

Or maybe you just lack the brains to realise this? http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/dizzy.gif

As far as I understood it DoL just wanted to point out that the threads have been merged as this was not obvious to everyone and has not been stated in the merged thread by any of the mods.

No reason to get this aggressive and start http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/argue.gif , I think

BTW: If you had read the other threads you would have noted that DoL was among the ones not very happy with the bug

Hang on, so just because something is 'counter-productive' to what someone else is doing, we have to shut our mouths and never mention it again?

Nope, but it does raise the question, why would you want to do something counterproductive to getting a patch for VI?

Because they don't care about everyone that plays MTW, they are too busy drooling over a few little pics of a game they have never played.

And i thought women were bad with cosmetics http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/rolleyes.gif

Seriously, Rocketboy is right, why would you do that?

You cn't wait for another unsupported game? I couldn't care less how good Rome is, Lots of people want a patch for MTW VI and that should be their first priority, doesn't anyone agree with 'finish the job' anymore?

While I do agree with Zoe about the need for a patch on VI, I also really want to get RTW... So I want them to deliver both.

But if RTW were released tomorrow, I wonder how many people would be able to resist the urge to buy it.

LOL, quite easily Emperor, I got over THAT urge a few games ago.

No more dud games for me(or dud companies).

How anyone can enjoy handing their money over to someone that sells flawed goods is beyond me.

Tried the STW demo. Did buy it the second day it was on sale in France. Was elsewhere for Mongol invasion, though.

Tried the MTW demo. Did buy it the first day it was on sale in France. But VI is not available here, and french-speaking forums speak of a globally weak add-on, so I'll probably live without it.

Will try the RTW demo. Dunno after.

I don't want to do something counter-productive, In fact I whole-heartedly support those lobbying for a patch for VI. I just resent this whole 'dissenters will be punished' idea. I don't seek out to deliberately damage anything.

Hail Gentlemen,

I wont comment on if you should buy RTW or not. I wont even comment on the support or lack there of CA/Activision has given the game.

I just wish to point out something you Roman buffs might already know. A united Gaul would have never been conquered by Rome, never.

Gaul was ... conquerable by the romans, and would have been even if it were united. Vercingetorix's revolt made almost clear that fact. Look at the numbers involved.

Thanks for feeding the Troll.

The Mods already changed the subject of the Thread to fit both points of view.

It has already been said: Counter-productive in general and rather senseless to start the thread anew, too.

It has already been merged for some reason, and I really got it that some do not want to join the holy Crusade to rid M:TW of its bugs... http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/tongue.gif
