The following is a link to a thread about an open letter sent to CA and now Activision as well. For those interested I encourage you to also write them. Maybe we can get some answers.

RaistlinX,
Your letter concerning the problems with the VI Expansion is about the most mature, intellegent, and responsive action that I have seen posted to the main hall in over two weeks.
You were concise, factual, and businesslike. Your letter, and maybe more like it, will utimately have a far better chance of getting something accomplished with the publisher and/or developer than the petulant and parroted rhetoric that fills the "I won't or will buy" thread.
That thread is an obnoxously long developer bashing party that is mostly filled with over-dramatized accusations and unfounded speculation, which I am sorry to say that I contributed to---even though I was, along with a few others, attempting to find a positive side to the matter
It is obvious that you are passionate about the Total War games--as I am, and as I hope that most who post to this forum are. The most important thing is that unlike many of rest, you chose to take the high road first, in your quest to get the situation improved.
I fully intend to follow your example, and only hope I can be as eloquent.
Kudos and Cheers.

Foreward Observer, the thread did get a little out of control once or twice. However can you imagine the flame war it would have degenerated into had it been over at .com

Forward Observer: Thank you very much for the compliment. I had hoped more people like you would have also chosen to write but there hasn't been much response to my post here or at totalwar.com
Please find the thread in the Entrance Hall updated with a response I received from CA as well as my response to it.

Forward Observer, I'm afraid I disagree. It started out as a constructive attempt at a solution, but then got off-topic, and is now a discussion about the problem. I think I can speak for all of the patrons of the topic when I say we don't appreciate getting insulted. It is not "the low road" as you are implying. Many of them too, including myself have sent letters very similar to Raistlin's to Activision and CA. And it is not a "developer bashing party". All some people said was that the eveloprs should not have let such a huge bug through. Now I'd appreciate it ifyou refrained from insulting such a large number of people in a foolish blanket-statement.

While it was my real desire to praise someone, whose actions I admired, I felt that it was a good counterpoint to show my distain those action I did not admire.
Rising Sun--I was a bit amazed that you even have the nerve to publicly state that a threatening thread titled "I won't buy RTW unless--", that is filled with ultimatums and lynch mob mentality, could ever be considered a contructive attempt at a solution. What were you thinking?
However, I would like to go on record to state that if anyone feels insulted by my comments, I am very happy that I could provide such a service.
To quote one of my favorite comedians--Mr John Cleese. "Those who are easily offended, usually deserve it"
Cheers.
P. S. Any of you may now have the last word if that is of importantance to you. It is not to me so I am pretty much through with the subject.
