Right now I own basically all of the Mediteranian aera. To the west, the Spanish Empire had taken all of Western Europe, all of Africa, and Hlaf of what once was the Byzintine Empire. Now the Germans are back and are ready to kick ass so they've overwelhmed all of Western Europ and it is no in German control, save Flanders and Normandy which are mine...

Now these two are goin at it and im tryin to stay neutural so i know what to do... If I ally with the Germans we can easyily overrun the Spanish on their home turff, but they have hundreds of ships in the water and my trade routes would drop in seconds. In some aeras, ten ships isn't enough to secure it saftly enough and thats just for one tile Then, if I ally with the Spanish, I'm not sure I can hold up to the huge German army. Sure its been torn down by constant war with France, the Danes, The Polish, The Hungarians, The Spanish, The Byzintines, and The English (busy bee's aren't they? hahahahaha), but their army is still at large with the most superior army in the world.... So what should I lose boys? My large Fleet? or my army?

Your navy is paramount IMHO.

And that is because -

1. Trading with a huge navy provides huge florins which makes beating everyone an easy task. I think the manual states it that have a good economy and you will have a good army... very true. Always preserve your $ generating strat over simple province conquest.

2. The ability to moove your troops quickly almost anywhere is one of the strongest military assets you can have.

3.Having your king in one moove contact with most of your provinces provides a great boost to loyalty both of your provinces and I think your generals as well.

try keeping neutral as long as both are not interested in you....and than eventually something will give way in this war of tug you can pick up the pieces laughingly http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/pat.gif

Hello GanstaJ. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wave.gif I'm glad you could drop by.

One question: which faction are you playing? (or am I blind?)

One thing you could do is get loads of money by trading (and stay neutral with both of them) then ally with spanish, buy german armies and pray. if you're allied with spanish that should secure (this is the reason to pray http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif ) your trade routes until you are strong enough to crush the spanish... are you playing Domination or GA BTW...

Welcome to the Org GanstaJ7878 http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wave.gif

You`ll need your fleet. If your economy`s running than you can easily rebuild any defeated army. But dominion on sea isn`t easily achieved, especially against the Spanish.
Staying neutral isn`t a necessarily a good strategy. One of both will win and take many provinces from the defeated one, making him even stronger. Better you grap your piece of the cake now.
