Hello all I have just bought the game and have played a few campaigns and I must say I really enjoy it. I played STW but i have to say that MTW is much better. I have one question for now: In the manual (that i have read) it says I can command up to 10,000 troops on the battlefield at once, how is this possible because even with the unit size set to huge, I am unable to make armies no larger than 1,920 soldiers, is there another option that I havent found or does it mean that with multiple armies (reinforcements) that I can have the 10,000? Thank you in advanced for replies and I hope to have fun.

Hi Joe, Welcome to the .Org. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wave.gif . The '10000 men' is acheivable in an 4v4 custom or multiplayer battle. So basically, 4 differernt armies of 1920 on each side.

yeah i'd say Big king said it all, there's really no way to get 10,000 in SP (Single player) but it is well posible with the unit size on huge to get about 6000 troops in a battle.

4 x 1920 only adds up to 7680. However, if all players took 16 large units of spearmen the total number of men would be
4 x 16 x 200 = 12800, thus justifying the '10,000 men' buzzline.

It is theoretically possible to have the human player and three computer players wind up in battle in the same province with 2500+ troops each, but not very likely.
(If somebody has experienced this, I hope they took screenshots )
