I'd take out the rebels in Scotland and Wales because you get a very good unit (clansmen) and a handy unit bonus (longbowmen +1) from those provinces. Then I'd sit back and tech up a little while getting some cash. Organise your armies, improve your farmlands and build a bank account. Then when you feel ready attack the next target on your hit list, most likely a faction that is posing a threat.
Building a world wide navy will get you trade money as well as allowing you to attack the other side of the world in one turn if you so desire. The 'quiet phase' of teching up is an excellent time to build a navy.

Build up those French Farmland and Trade provinces and have a good quiet phase as said above.
I strongly advise you to attack the Spanish first as this will open up north africa and the middle east, and can give you some very good easy to defend provinces with the minimum of papal intervention

Agreed. Take a nice long rest and build up those florin. And if you have trouble doing this and are itching to fight, don't think of it as a rest time so much as a reload time. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

Agree with above comments.
Relax you have plenty of time to enjoy the intrigue, once you have say 6-10 trade goods spread over several provinces you are in a position to make serious florins. I try for about 6-10 provinces b4 I go for the big navy.
Make sure your governors have the highest acumen, build the chancelery and give it to your highest income province governor. Look to cultivate your high star generals or buy a rebel one Marry your princesses to your generals if loyalty is needed. Send your monarch on a suicide mission if he has no influence/stars, his heirs are probably much better
Once you have the florins you can dictate from a postion of strength.
Personally I prefer to knock over Scandinavia and the danes after france, then jump to take Sicily/Constantinople/Antioch. Having a Meditterranean base reduces the cost of your fleet.
BTW after my first flurry I try to get as many alliances as possible, they are much more difficult to get later on.
Bottom line relax , build up and keep your gains, make sure you fight battles you will win , don't attack till then. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
If you are playing a GA campaign, you need to focus on crusading - and to be practical, that means building up a large fleet (eg have 3 dedicated ship building provinces). If you are playing conquest, I'd still advise building the fleet as the trade income it generates is amazing.
As others have said, if you just consolidate your French lands (esp Flanders), you'll soon be the richest and most powerful faction.
Scotland and Wales are good for the reasons people have given. Ireland is also attractive, for Gallowglasses, and Sweden is one of the best provinces on the map (farming, iron + trade).
Have fun - with the French gone, you've got it made.

Well, here's one of our Scottish patrons, and quite frankly I'm astonished that anyone can forget Scotland or Wales. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/tongue.gif
Navarre's a good province to nab, as you can train Spanish Jinetes there, but also get Scotland, Wales, and Ireland, as they will be very nice to have due to the units available there, and for higher-valour longbowmen in the High Period.

Agreed with what's above.
Once you're ready to attack again, crush the winner of the Spain vs Almo deathmatch. Otherwise, you'll be in trouble with the horde coming from the iberic peninsula...

i agree, but u should leave the two rebel province as a buffer zone between u and spanish or elmo. also u should also garrison a pretty large amount of troops along u and the HRE border. they are just as bad backstabbers then the french.
also keep an eye on HRE, and use their civil war as a advantage. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif
