http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wave.gif First of all a big hello for all fellow MTW addictsI'd like to thank you all for all these most interesting and educative discussionsAs a new montadhoros I'm wondering about all those idle goods and resources, and the inactive income buildings, e.g. weaver.I've handled units and buildings and startpos, but what about these hidden goodies?I believe they would be a fine addition to the campaign game and somehow balance the lack of trading commodities in several provincesAnyway, most of Europe was covered by forest in those days (80% of modern day Greece actually was a mountain forest&#33http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif so why not build foresters and make more money, regardless of the active good "wood"?Has someone else thought of these potentials?Any comments, suggestions and technical advice are welcomeIf any of the senior modifiers were to read this post and provide any info I could really appreciate it, since I can't even get a lead mine to workthanks in advance http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/idea.gif

you do know that ulster was almost completely covered in forest in Medieval times but now only 5% is forest, the least in Europe. Most was used to build Elizabeth I Navy http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/rolleyes.gif

Off topic:
One of the main reasons that New England was settled was to produce charcoal and timber for shipbuilding, since all the forests in Britain had been used up.
I seem to remember that most iron production for the entire British Empire was from New England by the time of the Revolution.

On topic:
I ran across those extra building descriptions too, a while back. There was stuff like that all in the Call-to-Power games, and it was rarely if ever useful. Normally, this is stuff that was never developed, or that was disabled prior to shipping.

Since VI gives the ability to make new "goods" why not make ~10 - 20 new ones. I though also in the line of Hellenic pottery, Roman Pottery, Lydian gold craft ... etc.

Also is there a possibility to build a land unit equivalent to ships?

Final suggestion...
Remake the map of Europe remaking the large rivers (Danube, Rine...) in to a sea so ships can be placed in them.
