If you mean catholics when the unit fires, they say tela tendete, literally meaning pull the arrows in Latin, but probably better just to think as aim the arrows, followed by tela proicite or release arrows in Latin. It's in Australian accent, btw http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

Cool, where do people get this info? Latin speaking people play this game?

What do those muslims or other factions(I haven't played much of them) say then?

Pretty much the same thing, Muslims in Arabic, and Orthodox in Russian. I don't know Arabic, and I forgot what the Russian phrase was.

I'm wondering, are any of the voices in the Viking music tracks spoken in a modern language? Can any of the Scandinavian .org members translate this into English?

In your total war/medieval folder is a folder labelled sounds. Look in battle/ orders and you will find each order labelled in English. Play it and you can hear the Latin/Russian/Arabic version of that order. Constats

I think that the singing in one of the European battle tracks sounds like 'reach for the loofa', you know one of those bath sponge thingies. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif

If they have used a modern language it is probably in Icelandic as this is the modern language that closest recembles old norse.

I am asuming that you are talking about the viking victory song and the mobilize song.
This what I think I hear. I am not that well versed in norse, nor do I have an audio program, that can properly single out the voice sound, so I might be totally of target on this one, but I will give it a go.

The Viking victory song:
This I what I think I hear:
Amr thidr ori methir ymer reiven wird hoy.
This could translate into
The Raven (standard, the Land Ravager) will always fly high, when we meet/ie fight(?).

The mobilize song:

har i alle kommt, har i alle kommt, til kriego, har i alle kommt, har i alle kommt, har i alle kommt, til kriego.

Possible translation:
Have you all come, have you all come, to war, have you all come, have you all come, to war

Another possibility:

Hurry everyone, hurry everyone, to war, hurry everyone, hurry everyone, to war.

Again this could be entirely wrong, and probably is.

You know in Eygpt people talk Arabic http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

As for the Muslim voices, I can say they are Arabic, but since I don't know any Arabic I don't know what they exactly mean except for one hücuuuuuuum The word hücum is also the same in Turkish and it means attack.

The arabic in the game is in a morrocan accent, suits the elmos pretty well but not the egyptians http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/tongue.gif

Sight to target Fire

That is what the Muslim bow armed troops are saying.
For the rest we will need a native Arab speaker to translate http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/tongue.gif

There was a guy who did so back in twa...alas the translation is gone with the site.
