Have anyone try to have a heir as a Kensai ? If so, will he has a 11 personal guard ?

Same type question, If our daimyo dead and the heir is a unit with 60 mens, will the heir have 60 personal guard ?

I'm just starting the campaign and would like to know the above fact for my planning.

thanks.

When succession happens, your new Daimyo gets a brand-spanking-new green as grass Hatamoto (i.e. 11 HC). And that's the end of that story..

And when ur Daimyo dies amd u do have heirs..
there will showed a small in game movie when ur heir take his fathers throne...!

The the heir is seperated from his regiment and transformed into a heavycav. with 10 Bodyguards (Hatamoto)

The question is moot as one cannot have a Kensai for an heir. I tested this a few nights ago at the "I own all of Japan but one province" phase. My heir was 19 and unassigned (I hadn't trained troops in a while, prefering to re-train when possible), so I trained a Kensai, and no other troops. A few turns later, up pops the Kensai but he wasn't my heir, who was still listed as "unassigned". I wrote off the Kensai idea & trained a monk instead. Pity.

Deleted a double post.

I always imagine the commander of a given unit (except Kensai) is mounted anyway. That way it doesn't seem like such a great leap.
