View Full Version : playerbase of TW atm.
well basically a thread on how many players r playing viking invasion atm, and who (if any) of old shogun players play, and wot times. just wondering if there is a point of me trying to get back into playing it online again http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/redface.gif
soz for the very selfish thread, but cudnt think of _any_ other way of asking such a broad audience quickly.

I play VI most nights, usualy between 6 to 11 o'clock in the evening GMT. I am usually on for an hour or two.
I didn't play Shogun originaly but have it now and am finding it difficult to get used to because of my experience with Medieval being very different.

JAG, check the sword dojo forum. STW players still play on the MI/WE server on Sunday evenings mostly. I can't recall the exact time now, but it's around 9 pm GMT, I think. Last time I was there, there were enough people to get a 4v4, and some 2v2s.
ty, but wot kinda numbers we on bout on main viking invasion server. 40? 50? at a time.

hm.. I'd say about 40 on early evening, the most I've seen was about 80 late at weekend. European time.
There are some regulars and clanners online almost every day, so you should get a game.
Generally, the numbers have increased since last month. Perhaps many switched to VI now and I've seen more newcomers too.
In case you're wondering, VI split the community apart. Old MTW v1.1 players are in a different lobby than VI players, plus entering VI through gamespy arcade will somehow place you in another lobby than logging on through the ingame menu, afaik. If all were together, I suppose one could see about 100+ peeps...
ta brutal, think i may start popping on again more and more for a game ;o

Good to see the old spam kensai in JF. Hello JAG http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wave.gif
VI splitted the online community like what MI had done to STW during its initial launch. But more are switching to VI I think.
Elmo, Yuuki, Mitch and a few others are now playing STW-MI on Saturday, the time I've forgotten *the post by Elmo is around here somewhere*
