I was scrolling through the discriptions today to find a discription of the sword brethern,what are they supposed to be?a viking era crusader unit or something?sounds interesting...

I can remember that a while ago some people were making the case for a Polish VI unit representing the Brotherhood of the Sword. This might be evidence that, at one time, CA considered including them under the name of Sword Brethren. At least that is what I think we are talking about.

Goto wherever you installed your MTW:VI directory and open the Loc folder and then open the Eng you'll find a text file called Descriptions,it has all the unit discriptions so check it out its somewhere there.

I noticed tha if you have in the startpos about a //chapter house in Poland and it said only add if Brother hood of the Sword are added

Apparently it was planned to be the Polish crusader unit, but unlike Early varangian guard, there are no stats or unit models for it, also the chapter house is disabled, so you would need some skilled modder to enable it for you.

Sword Brethren were the first Crusading order in the Baltic. They were never very numerous, and eventually absorbed by the Teutonic Knights when they shifted up that way.

Yeah, I posted about this a longgggg time ago. I was hoping to maybe get someone to make it, but as far as I know, no one has. Of course, I don't really use other people's mods, as I mod myself, so maybe I should just get off my ass and make it myself.

Whoa, this would be a solo job. I made small editing jobs and generally don't release them. The unit would probably start out as a custom fight only unit, as I don't really play campaign that often anymore.

hehe sounds like it could be a sweet unit, i usualy play with th epoles so to bad they left it out could have been fun and th epoles need some extra units heh
