Past few days me and ShinGaijin have been talking about a shogun meeting in England.We have both desired one for a long time and now have finally explored and are excitted.
If you are intrested please post, we are hoping to do the shogun meeing in BlackPool that's in the North of England.On this day out cameras shall be bought so bring your best head.We hope to group a good few people.We will really appecate it. Thanks.We have decided to go a head with the meeting we will hopefully be booking a table at a restruant but we do actally need to know who IS coming not maybe as we do not want to over book.
Many people will have to set home that same night, so long journey people will have to set off from their house the normal time it takes to get from there house to blackpool and add an extra hour incase traffic is bad, this might be earlie or late it all goes on how long you can cope with each other

A meeting in the North-West of England would, I'm sure, be very appealing to many people.

Coming from Preston (25km from Blackpool) I would be quite interested in attending. However, it may be wise to clearly itemise exactly what you have in mind. For example -

- is it a general 'Total War' type meeting?
- is it just for Shogun or is it for MTW as well?
- is it just for multiplayers or singleplayers as well?
- is it for playing stategy, ideas, modding?

This is a great idea, and I'm sure it will be welcomed by UK enthusiasts. It may be a good idea to keep the Org posted in terms of developements.

Set it up, check the feasible locations in Blackpool for such a meeting, determine the date (Sept seems fine - avoiding the Scots invasion of Blackpool thoughout the summer - and ensuring there are sufficient B+Bs, Pensions, to accommodate people at a very reasonable price), and ensure all info is progressed via your own site and ALSO The Org.

Do the business - keep all informed - and it WILL be successful.

I, for one, will attend.

Soon we will have to know,

1, How many day's are you staying for.
2,How many bed's do you want in one suite
3, Is any one willing to share a bedroom with some one eles.

This imformation proably one cause of the problem as we have not got an rought idea of how many hotels to reserve, I know every one is under pressure and un sure about coming but at the moment all my email's are getting rejected and it's come to the point where i'm going to have start ringing up and letting them know how many bed rooms to reserver.

I haven't decided yet if we should close a date on saying if you want to come your name much be added, because it may resovled to they wan't to come and stay at the hotel but they are full up and that would be dissappointing. As they have had a few months maybe even weeks to add their name, but for now I would just like a rought copy on what every one is doing.

Then you don't have to go Duraz. They are doing something they want to do and will probably have a grand time. If you look at the other TW meetings that have taken place, everyone had a great time and turned virtual friendships into real friendships. I don't see what is wrong with that.

Some people have had very successful TW meetings and have made true friends from them, Your post shows a lack of maturity and poor judgement.

I'm sorry to inform you that On the Saturday 25th october won't be following as planned, the reasons for this mess up is becaused As 25th october is a half time and the illumations it's been impossible to to get a hotel as they have all filled up and some only do two night stay's so we had a thought about this after trying for ages to get a stay that we are moving the date untill the Saturday 8th November the illumations will be completely over and hotels with plead with us to book with them, now we can share an hotel as one and have are meal there instead of out so let's just say everything we need is there apart from the big ride in blackpool which some seem intrested in, we will see who's the chicken http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif . Once again sorry for the mix up, hope you can all make it (once again) I've private mailed some of you about the fact of hotels arrangments but i'm guessing know one want's to say untill they know the price of the hotel. As for the hotel I might reserve 25 (for now) and if there are any extra get them later but it's gonna be 1st say are in one of the 25 room's .

Yes, ladies, gentleman, children of are ages, After ringing hotel's(me and battle scar), The lady as I think she is Super woman Battle finally got us 1 so many tank you's go out on her behalf. Here is some information for you:

Good points: it looks great - nicely decorated, etc and he will charge us £25 per person per night b&b AND - he is completely empty for that night at this moment

Bad points: No evening meals at weekends - so we would have to go to a Beefeater or something, they only have 14 rooms. This means some peeps would have to share maybe, or take a twin room, maybe with a supplement (but he said if there were only 1 or 2, he wouldn't bother with this) But with the date changing I think we might of losted a few people so This is how were going to do it so it's all in one You email me for my Home address so you can send your money to pay for the room, if no one want's to share or late comers and no more room I was informed there is some hotel's along the street so you could book in to there, Here is the web address:
