Hello people,
This is my first post here:wave: . I think it should be posted in another catagory, but for some reason i'm unable to post elsewhere. Anyway if got a little question. How do you stop the game from ending in campaingn mode? I want to continue playing, but unfortunaly its game over http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/angry.gif
Ah well, there must be some file i can edit so that the game doesnt end. So, could any any of you help me out, I would be most gratefull.
Arch.
So if you want to change the ending date in 1453, you must go to the startpos files (located in \campmap\startpos\http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif and edit one of the files (early, high, or late.txt; the one you edit means if you choose the early period the new end date applies to this one, but no in high). Anyway,
open one of the files. And search: (almost at the beginning)
SetStartingDate::1087 Or something like that
SetEarlyPEriodDate::1204
SetHigh...
SetLate...
SetGameEndDate::1600

Welcome to the Org Architeuthis, where there is never an end date. When I see English billmen marching down my street I'll know you've been successful at removing the end date.
Your Junior Patron status only allows you to post in the Entrance Hall forum though you can read stuff in the other forums. We want to make sure you play well with others before releasing you into the other forums. Just do a little posting here - reply to existing topics are start your own. If there is a topic in another forum that you wish to reply to, post it here with a similarly name topic and ask the moderators to copy your reply over to the appropriate topic.

Ah, i thought i should mess around with that particular file. Well, thanks guys, for both the help and the warm welcome http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
Arch.
You welcome, by the way, you may change the file and save it as another filename, and will have now a new and different campaign.
