Before Kurosawa died he wrote a final script which he did not produce. His assistant, who was working with him for 25 years completed Kurosawa's work as a tribute to the great artist. I watched this movie last night, in one word magnificent.

Truly a great movie. Sensational combat scenes mellowed by humanity and a parallel romance for virtue.

Ahh ... good that you remind me of that

I almost forgot that this one will be on TV here tonight http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/eek.gif

So I better set the VCR for tonight (the movie is at 1 a.m. so I have to record it for the weekend)

In case anybody is interested - the movie will be shown on ARTE tonight - so at least people in Germany and in France will be able to watch it.

Um.. my stupid VCR hadn't done a damn thing, when I checked in the morning. And I thought showview was kinda reliable. Next time I'll program it manually. (expletive deleted http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif)

Check next week ... I think they show it again one night (at least my TV-mag said so, but I did not find it on the ARTE-website)

Good luck
