Good point UL. I will point out that there is a Happy birthday Canada topic in the Tavern from July 1 for Canada day.
If it is your country's special day, speak up and be proud.

Because this is usually done in the Tavern. Just a few days ago we congratulated Canada. And on the 17th of may there was a post congratulating Norway on its Constitution Day ( started by me http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif )

Also Congratulations to the Queen of Norway (66), and on the first child of the Crownprince and princess due to arrive on 22nd of January. (it was anounced today, talk about timing http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif, he or she will be second in line for the throne, so this is great news for royalists, as well as the royal family of course)

Yes, pretty much.

I think the 60's movie The Mouse That Roared was based on Andorra (a tiny country declares war on the US, with the intention of losing, to garner an aid package like the Marshall Plan).
Smart plan http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

My birthday is on St Andrew's Day, and I live in Scotland. I'm also called Andrew http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif, but that's because of my grandfather, not the day.

The UK doesn't really have a big national day. The individual countries have Saints' days, but they're not really celebrated.
I suppose you could count Guy Fawkes' Night as a big national day. The Parliament opens, and we burn effigies of the Pope (well, it changed to Guy Fawkes so as to be politically correct, and resulted in the mistaken belief that Guy was burned to death http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/tongue.gif), and small children lose their eyes from fireworks.
