Well, seeing how i cant seem to post in the Apothacary, i shall post it here. The problem is, whenever a soldier dies, he falls, bleeds and then sinks halfway into the ground. i've checked other screenshots and this doesnt seem to be normal. (Yes, i scoured the Apothacary forum for answers, but it looks like i'm the only one with this problem).

I'm using version 1.1 of MTW

http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wave.gif Greeting YannosX. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wave.gif Welcome to the Org.

I'm not sure I understand your problem. Not that I've studied the dead guys that closely, but they all look like flat cardboard cutouts lying on the ground to me. I'd like to see a screen shot you are talking about vs one of your screen shots to see the difference.

Lastly, is this glitch bad enough to ruin your enjoyment of the game or are you just concerned that aren't getting the graphics performance out of the game that you think you should be getting? I believe there is a hi-res and low-res displays for units - or there was for STW. I never realized I was see the low-res display until I saw the unit details on one of barocca's screen shots. I was amazed, but I still enjoyed my (low-res) brand of STW.

and thanks.
Anyway, here is a screenshot. Perhaps it's supposed to be that way, but i doubt it.

Just goes to show you: there is no gravity - the earth sux http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Seriously, tho': that's how the dead guys look on this machine too (8MB integrated vid card, Athlon 1G & 256 RAM).

It has nothing to do with your machines performance, and it isn't a graphical glitch either. There is file called deadpage coords.txt that has all the coordinates of the dead bodies. If it really bugs you, you can adjust the 2nd parameter of each entry; it probably should be 5 or 10 lower.

Cheers, Duke John

Yeah, I get that sinking into the ground, too. It's not too noticeable, though.
