Just a quick thanx to Kekvit for his Kekvit mod. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/pat.gif

There i was, wanting to play MTW and felt like "a close to the original" campaign. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

The mod fits in just fine. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif Like the new units, especially the bedouin heavy camels, pity you couldn't do a new graphic for it though. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/frown.gif

And also did you realize that the pic of the welsh bowmen when you purchase them is different from the pic in the battle screen. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif

Just thought it was worth commenting on this mod because others might have overlooked it and also wish for something to play whilst they wait for a "work in progress" mod.

Kudos again Kekvitirae. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wave.gif

Weird http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif , never CTD with me.

Not a ground breaking mod in by any means, but definatly worth D/Ling IMO. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

Nor me http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

The problem maybe if you installed it over another mod?

Anyway, Kekvit has not been around, she left for personal reasons at the Org.

Not often for a femme modder... and I really like the mod myself. Has given me some great ideas also.

Kek-girl hangs out at .Com, last she told me. The personal stuff has been pretty big, too, so I think right now she is a little oversensitive to criticism, and that is why she is taking a mod break. I am sure she would love to hear a compliment, though, if you want to repeat your post over there.

I'm no artist, and the best I could ever do was the horrible paint job on the Knights of Saint George. The reason why I didnt repaint the Foot Knights of Saint George? It's simple: File size. If I made a new bif file for every new unit, the mod would well exceed 6+ megabytes, and considering most people are on dialup (including me when I first made my mod), it isnt going to be popular one bit, even as a seperate download.

And the Welsh Longbowmen, I really havent noticed... I was too busy laughing my tushy off when any unit got within the 10000 range of my bows. I'll see about looking into it and posting an update. For once, someone pointed out a bug for me http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif I'll get right on it.

As for the CTD, are you using any version other than 2.0? I have tested my mod over and over again to the point where I got sick of MTW, and I havent experienced anything abnormal. This was done on my normal MTW directory as well as a fresh install MTW directory.

And I sometimes scan the thread lists here when I get bored, but I'll only reply, like now, when I see my name. I will NOT go into details about why I left. Suffice to say, I do not want this board filled up with angst, so dont ask, at least not in public view.

And yes, I am quite active in the official boards, but only in the Modding forum, trying my best to help troubleshoot stuffs.

Yes, I have been in a similar boat as you Kekvitrae, a extremely damaging personal event happened to me and it stopped me Modding at all, I've only just really got back into it by making a few things for the LOTR MOD.

Anyway, I will be sure to download your MOD and have a play, I'm sure it is fun.

Sorry to hear that you're having troubles so i appreciate you replying.

Just another couple of probs i've encountered with KekvitmodV2.

Both i discovered when playing the russians. First is they don't get any titles from chancellery, admiralty and such and second is when you build a royal court it says feudal foot knights with royal estate and blah blah, but you can't build a royal estate.

These are not complaints, just little mistakes that you might not have noticed, all to make a good mod, better. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

EDIT: I'm thinking of adding in fear factors for a lot of units. Heavy cavalry now fear pikemen, aye, but they should cause fear to non-spear infantry, to reflect the horror of being the target of a heavy cavalry charge. Spearmen will fear the Men at Arms, and so on, making a Rock/Paper/Scissors effect. Should be pretty interesting to see what happens on the battlefield

I'm thinking of giving all Archers fear of cavalry, not swordsmen though. I think some swordsmen maybe, the weaker ones, but not the higher quality men.

Same goes for Axemen, although in general I think these are fine since cav usually have the upper hand against them anyway.

In my dream world I'd love to see Heavy Cavalry ride through the ranks of lesser troops with easy rather than slamming into them and poking at them with their sticks, but unless you raise the Shock of the initial charge to some high level it won't happen.

Out of interest, how exactally do you make it so a unit fears another?

French Feudal and Chivalric Knights in my mod both have their charge bonuses upped, and you can easily see the difference when you charge into a unit.

You add fear to a unit by opening the unit_prod file in Gnome editor and add in the name of the unit you want it to fear in column 65

Ah the Gnome Editor, I don't believe I can work that with my XP system, I shall try. Thank you.
