Nothing like going to a website and finding an annoying HUGE pop up to start things off

Maybe ya'll didn't know this..... but these actually tend to push people AWAY from a website? http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/argue.gif

Please re-think this please. It is NOT a warm welcome to your web site. In fact, it is somewhat misleading as it appears to be a misdirection to an ad web site http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/joker.gif

Sorry about that, Hamhock2...it's not us - it's our webhost trying to recoup a couple bucks from all the sites they host. We're working on it.

On my system, that screen comes and goes so fast I can barely read it. Besides, I usually come straight to the forums.

Yeah, it's a necesarry evil I', afraid I also found it very annoying (especially the Microsoft Media player ads, I allready HAVE it goddammit) so I now also go straight to the forums

Quite funny though... as the ads have excactly the wrong effect...

use Mozilla, blocks all unrequested pop ups. IE sux. Thx to mozilla, i'm not even aware this site has a pop up.

I use Opera as my web browser and with its nifty little pop up blocker this is the first I've heard of pop ups at the Org. Perhaps some of you will choose to graduate to a real browsing alternative such as Mozilla or Opera now. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif
