View Full Version : Back again...
It has been a long time since I was last able to come here. Some issue with a firewall.
Glad to be back if only for tonight. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/rolleyes.gif
So now my question is this:

That was one of the old guys saying hello. I wonder how many more will drop by. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/rolleyes.gif
It's pretty quiet nowadays.
Some are on holidays, others don't visit here anymore but go to www.totalwars.net forums. Some are just fed up with the game and have simply moved on.

Always nice to see another dane again. Velkommen tilbage.
Hi Kraxis,
Do you play online anymore? The Turks work better now in VI high era, and the Byz/Spanish dominance of high is gone or at least reduced for the Byz. The English longbow is more effective in high era now that the arbs are gone, and the longbow range bug got fixed. The removal of the battlefield upgrade prevents cav from gaining power as the battle unfolds, and cav archers can do some damage now with their arrows.

Welcome back. We're playing VI, so what's your take?
Thanks guys... http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif Good to know that at least somebody remembers.
I have just come back from England where I visited Shadewolf (I bet you know him) and Wart (who posted a few times here). So I wasn't being rude. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
Davs med jer Magraev og CBR.
Hi there Puzzle. Sadly I have a great problem with VI, the game crashes everytime I try to play it after the first reboot of installing it. Thus I can only play for as long as I keep the computer turned on after installing it, and installing it is a pain since you have to reinstall MTW as well. So no MP VI for me http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/mecry.gif Hopefully I will be able to just reinstall the patch when it comes out, a much better situation.
But could you elaborate on the horse archers, how did they change them?
Kraxis,
That's a strange bug. Well, the mounted bow went from 0.40 to 0.55 accuracy and from 0.63 to 0.68 lethality. The lethality of both longbow and shortbow was also increased from 0.63 to 0.68. The longbow range was fixed to shoot the full 6000 by upping the speed from 150 to 170.
Ahhh... So now they have basically made the bows into fairly dangerous weapons. I did seem to get more kills out of archers and mounted archers, and suffer more at their hands.
