I would love to play MTW during this chinese history period (Romance of the Three Kingdom).
IF you have some interest or just curious, please take a look at the link below. This is a game for Playstation 2 but the web site contains tons of information.

Basically, I would like to form a team to try to do this mod. There are two major obstacles to do so:

1. We need a new map representing china...As far as I know, no new map has been done so far (some are close to). So we would need the help of someone who knows how to make maps using Wellington program

2. We need new units...This is possible to do if someone can do what Duke John is doing for the LOTR mod....this imply that the person should be an artist/3D modeler

So if you are interested and I hope many people will be since this is quite an interesting projects...the battles style fit in MTW engine and we will have unique warrior with special power that will bring a new atmosphere to the game.
So drop a message here if you want to be part of this.

http://www.kongming.net/dw4 would be a better site to look at (Dynasty Warriors 4 is a much better games than DW3, more historical also).

The DW games are pretty fruity and innacurate when it comes to ROTK. For a mod though, I suppose they aren't a bad source, because they provide a more accessible version of the romance.

I personally have serious doubts about how well suited ROTK and the MTW engine are. I just don't think the two go well together.

I'm a huge fan of ROTK (thankfully, my wife has pretty much written a thesis on it) so I'm interested to see how this goes, but still,.. I have my doubts :/

EEUURAAH.
