Have you tried it? Does it have new units, and factions? From looking at the site, the map looks very small. Not very much conquering envolved.
Very interesting find. The map does not look smaller than VI though it has less provinces I think.
nope, I did not tried it. But I downloaded it...it is for 1.1 not VI.
I think I will try tonight.

Hi guys,
Don't crack your heads it looks promising (the map at least) but if you read the text ... it is for v.1.1 thats the original patched version not VI
The download is at the bottom of the page.
Well it's looks good nuff for me. Only I cant access the page.
I dunno about historical accuracy though.
The download works for me...
You have to try and try at different time to access the web site.
It is for 1.1 but hey I might just put back the old version http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

It looks nice. The factions are SUDANESE, BYZANTINES, EGYPTIANS, ROMANIANS, IRAQIS, YEMENS, IRANIS, UZBEKISTANS, TURKISH and RUSSIANS.
I think the reason it is 1.1 is because of the map probems with vi. It looks very nice. Also you can have composite bows http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif

I am curious as to how the Map looked after you resized using the utilty Irfanview as per Sir Nates instructions. Could anyone who has DL this mod let me know, as this could be a great help in handling the 30 meg map in future Mods. LOS

Hello Ladies and Gents,
Over in the dungeon some people have expressed their opinions on my new campaign map and I would like to respond to a couple comments. One comment was that my website has been reaching its maximum bandwidth. To solve this problem, I put it on the .org download site below:
http://www.totalwar.org/Downloads/Mtw_Uploads/MTWupload/
Another question is that the Yemeni faction runs into Oman and thus inaccurate. I did this intentially so that each faction had at least 2 starting provs. Finally, I do not own VI and will not buy it because I do not see the point, so making these new maps VI compatible will just have to take some time to update the text files that is included in my download. Please note I am just answering some comments that other people have made and I am not venting or mad at people. If anyone has any questions, comments, or some suggestions, please feel free to email me at natesmiller@yahoo.com. Thanks for taking the time to download my mod.

Hmmm, its very interesting that somebody has finally made a new campaign map, but it seems like the borders are all modern ones. I was wondering why ancient borders were not utilized.
For example, why does no one control mecca and medina which are obviously the most important cities in the muslim world. Also what time period does cover? Will perhaps a "Jihad High" period include the crusader states?
In any case, this is some excellent work, i hope you continue to make it better.
