Does anyone have any particular strategies that they would like to share? I'm looking for some new things to test out. I have my own strategy. It's for the Turks.

It's called Demand and Supply.

I take as many rebel and Byzantine provinces as I can until I expand into Russia and reach Constantinople. Then I concentrate on the army, and eventually build trade. Then I move armies to conquer the Egyptians. Once I finish with the Egyptians, I set my eyes to Italy and Spain, eventually extending into those realms. COnquering Italy, I expand into Germany, and conquering Spain, extend into France, connecting the empire, and from the middle-east, expand northwards into Russia. Establish a trade empire quickly, because it can mean much if you are in need of florins. Invading Scandinavia and conquering it is crucial, also conquest of the British Isles is important. Don't forget little islands. They are important, for they are land bridges. Conquer Britain, and lower taxes in countries in Europe that you conquered to lower rebellions. Then, you have Europe under Muslim control Please reply if you have any cool strategies, and we can all share them here. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif

I'm glad you said your posted strategy was 'for the Turks', since I bet we agree that each faction's plan will differ widely in detail from the other factions. It's all about location.

As a general, overall strategy in MTW, I tend to be successful when I race to the sea. The income, intelligence & mobility it affords is key to developing/tailoring the detailed strategy for the specific faction I've adopted. I try to 'ring' the map with coastal provinces, then move inland for the conquering afforded by the vast florin accumulation.
