Black units should have similar effects to horses

I've finished reading I, Cladius (wonderful book), and now I'm in the middle of Claudius the God (part 2 of I, Claudius). Anyway, when the Romans were invading Britain under Claudius, they brought 300 Nubian spearmen. In battle, the British (never having seen black people before), thought of them as naked gods and did not fight back for the most part. I think that some races should get a morale penalty when fighting against blacks due to the shock value. But, after a few years, further engagements should be made without the penalty (as the race will learn of the black people and that they're human just like them).

Well as for historical accuracy can you show other battles beyond that one in England were this happened? I get the impression that Claudias' invasion of England is kind of an odd ball since the Britans didn't have that much contact with the Romans, like most of Rome's enimies.

BTW CA, being a company and all that means, will see a suggestion like that, that way.

The arrival of the Spaniards in Central and South America had a similar effect upon the locals. I believe it was the Aztecs (someone correct me here) who initially believed the Spanish were the embodiment of their white skinned god that had taken physical form It's hard not to have such delusions when you first spot a huge boat of enormous height with many billowing 'white clouds' moving just offshore. Add the arrival of tall, pale men speaking a strange language and wearing strange clothes (sometimes covered with metal plates and hats), bearing fiery 'boomsticks', some of whom were seated atop huge four legged beasts that obeyed their commands and you have the ingredients for a very interesting introduction

Faisal, is this an attempt at humor or is it particularly hot today in your part of the world? And what entails being a 'brown' or 'foreigner' person? Odds are most of the Org members are genetically speaking, overwhelmingly European in composition. Based on my experience in other gaming and pc tech forums I feel somewhat confident in saying that poeple of sub-Saharan African ancestry have the lowest representation here at the Org. As to the in-between maybe East Asians followed by West, South and Southeast Asians (admittedly crude and broad groupings, my apologies) followed by the equally ambigious and unfair racial grouping North Americans refer to as 'Hispanic' with Central Asians bringing up the rear. I suppose someone could put out a poll in the Tavern to find out.
