Old Bald Guy

Man, what a game. This one has beenn way bad cool.
Started High/GA/English--WesW's Med Mod, latest flavor (If you haven't tried it, it's superb.)
I decided I would try to upgrade everything first, set up trade, bide my time and watch. By 1290, things were happenening that blew me away. Would you believe the dominant faction is the DANES The Egyptians, Elmos, Byz and...wait for it...the GH are gone The Danes knocked out the GH and have virtually all of the East. The Frenchies have dusted the mid-East and hold Constantinople, while ebbing and flowing across the Iberian peninsula swapping properties with the Aragants like they were bad monopoly players. The Pope has all of Italy and knocked the Sicilians and Ityes out...yep, his A-Holiness is a dominant player.
Skip a hundred years. I hold only Navarre, Castille and Leon besides my founding provinces. Aragant sobs decided to pick on the weak guy, me. Done 'em. I picked up Sicily from Rebels, but the Pope attacked me Knocked me out of Sicily. Well, I got it back, plus Naples and Venice, making him cry like a baby, after taking away my vespers and begging for somebody to come to his aid. Finally, I left him alone, when, ouch, the Danes attacked me from Scotland. Not nice, at all.
Suddenly I'm in a forty year war with the Danes. Yep, forty years of poverty until I finally finished off his navy. I'd prepared, because very sea was filled with ships of ALL kinds. Actually, it was hard to drop a fleet into the Straits because of the dearth of anchorage. By the time I sank the last longboat, I was 30k in the red. I hadn't built a damn thing in twenty-five years. Tough sledding. But I picked up Flanders when he knocked the fading French out of the sweet port with the boucoup florins. With the seas to myself, I dropped in on Denmark and Sweden behind his lines and now he's slipping fast. Don't know the message he had the largest arms for the entire fight, because I know he wasn't making a dime. He's a goner, now, as the Germans have made a return to the stage and the Poles are grabbing land like it was Oklahoma in the Rush.
A large portion of the lower right hand side is green, as the Turks have been picking over the leavings of the French and the Danes. The French are fighting the Pope, the Germans, the Danes, the Aras and a whole bunch of rebelling provinces. I'm over the embarrassing "temporary cash flow message," finally in the black and building.
I'm 90 points behind the Dangs, but I've got time. After dozens of campaigns, this is the best one yet. Thanks, Wes.
If there ever was a better game for replay value, I've never played it. Havin' a ball. Anyone seen one like this one?
