Quote[/b] ]but every so often someone posts that vikings didn't have horned helmets and all the Org veterans have to tell then that subject is teh old and we all move forward.
I'd really like to thank TOSA and the Org's adminstrators for conceiving, implementing and administrating, not only the Org itself, but the MAIN (and Entrance) Hall(s).
The "Hall" concept is brilliant and while, perhaps, not perfect, it sure as heck WORKS
I think the Entrance Hall admins deserve special note, Gregoshi, IMUHO, does an incredible job. He must have the patience and continence of a Saint. Daily dealings with Newbies and Yahoos in such an undisturbed manner is something that deserves cash payment

Shout out to Soly of the Main Hall, as well.
Please forgive me as I don't recall the names of the Tavern's adminst, but SPECIAL note to them as well. Riding herd on that group should qualify one for the Bronco Buster's Hall of Fame
Special Note: To all those not mentioned by name who make the Org possible
Thanks

Here here
I'd also like to thank TosaInu for the help he's given me with my guide. He increased the topic size limit so I could add in a lot more. He also made it possible to put pictures in the guide by hosting them on the org.
While I'm at it I'd also like to thank Gregoshi and (unknown, you didn't say who you were ) for stickying both versions of my guide. Also a big thank you for all the suggestions and praise people gave me.
Thank you to all the moderators (and patrons), you make the org an intelligent and pleasant place to be.
Special mention must go to the guys from CA, thank you for coming here and putting up with our rambling. You even answer our questions after you get criticised and never just give up and leave if things aren't going your way (the whole VI patch debate/ argument /furball). That takes guts.
(This is beginning to sound like Oscar night :froggy begins to cry like a certain well known actress: http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/mecry.gif )
Thank you all :sob: you make life much more interesting http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wave.gif

I'd like to add my thanks too. I feel very flattered that people have created and maintained such a great site just to discus our games. I love the elegant easy on the eye layout of the site, and being able to discus the game with such knowledgable and enthusiastic players is huge boost on those days when I'm feeling under motivated. I'm also impressed with he patience and wisdom of the moderators who keep the standard of discusion very high (wish we had some of you to moderate some of the meetings at CA http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif). So thanks again to all those whose hard work has created this site, and that keep it running.

If CA didn't have this place around they would have to invent it http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wave.gif
The Org has been a great place for a long time.
The Org is the best place I have ever hung around on the net and I would also like to thank everyone who makes it possible. Now if Rome would just hurry up and get here so that we have something new to discuss. All hail Ceasar

This is my only forum I ever visit, so as long the Org is still runnin', y'all are ma peeps http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif
I must confess the Org has become a special place for me on the net, an electronic 'home away from home' if you will. For one reason or another the Org seems to have an unusual concentration of decent, well mannered, knowledgeable and intelligent individuals, an absolute rarity as far as the internet is concerned. This cannot simply be an expression of Totalwar fandom as the posts on the official Totalwar forums simply pale in comparison to those one finds here in the Org.
I am a member of a number of online forums, one of which I've been a member of for the past 3 years with a grand total of less than 200 posts. However, since becoming a member of the Org last September I've churned out close to 400 posts There is definitely something to this place; some odd combination of the Totalwar games combined with military history combined with the madness of the Tavern. If the Org was a neighborhood I'd say there is definitely something in the water...

This because of two reasons as i recon them:
1- The kind of game makes it so, just as some other few historical games (Europa Universalis pops in mind)
2- Friendly moderator control (friendly is important or the moderators turn into despots and ruin the forum, as i've seen it happen with Master of orion forums)

Bumping stone old topics without apparent reason seems to be in these days.
The last post is also somewhat ironic. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/tongue.gif
Before the Org I've only seen one other forum that came close to this place. But the Org is still one of the best boards I know out there
I think the way the Moderators give a good example and always seem to maintain their cool also greatly contributes to how well mannered this community is. Always a welcome to newcomers (which ofcourse is also done by non-moderators) really makes the atmosphere all that better. It just seems to attract people who'd rather engage in non-flammatory discussions and not keep them from posting their thoughts and ideas rather then being put off by an hostile community, and that's a BIG plus
This board just shines friendlyness and in my opinion more communities should follow the Org's steps in creating a fun, non-denegrating etc. etc. community.
So I like to thank everyone whom made the Org possible the way it is now
Thank you
