Hello guys, i was just wondering whether it would be at all possible to find out more information on a couple of txt files in the STW directory?
Basically what i want to know is more about the antiunits.txt file, the building_choice.txt file and the unit_choice.txt file.
Now i know Target told us what the anti_units file did, but i was wondering if someone could clear up how the actual file is laid out and what the numbers actually represent? I think he mentioned something about %, but % of what and which unit refers to which number?
The unit_choice file is fairly self explanatory and all i really want to know is what the numbers represent? It's obvious that the higher the number the more likely that AI personality will build that unit. However, what would happen if all these were raised, say by 20 for example? Would that mean a general increase the amount of money the AI spends on units?
Finally the building_choice file is the most complicated? It has 54 entries and there are only 51 buildings?! The numbers are similar to thos in the unit_choice file, but it is more tricky to know which number refers to which building? I'm assuming that these numbers also include the upgrades for each type too...
I'm dying to know, especially as my modding plans are now in full flow...
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Doc
