can anyone find me pictures of Japanese ships of the Sengoku Era,
just need a couple of good side on and oblique top down views,
there are some books about depicting such ships,
if anyone here happens to have a copy and could scan in a few images for me

I'm really sorry. I have some in a book, but I can't open it flat enough to scan the images. The book is Samurai Warfare by Stephen Turnbull. Mostly historical paintings (not particularly schematic).

While, I do have several such books, I have no scanner http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/tongue.gif

they just looked like long barges tho. if you can findsome good pics of a barge type ship that would suffice. They werent very facy at all to tell you the truth.
