Never seen them before, very nice campaign maps.also good thing CA gave those cataphracts facemasks,at least i'm not looking at clones http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/tongue.gif
i'm expecting large battles with the current unit count(unless they purposely set it at large).
Hehe... I was just about to post them here for you. I have already done that in the Entrance Hall.
I like the Campaign map pics. I wish they would zoom in a bit more though so I can see people rioting, or Gladiator fights in the Colosseum.

I see FOUR roman factions http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/eek.gif . Red, white, blue and green. That's a Sh*tload of Romans...
Makes you wonder if the variety will be great between those factions... Maybe they will only have 1 unique unit for each of them, I certainly hope not http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/frown.gif

Kraxis please make a post with these images as I will have to close the link next week..............Cheers
This is the most outrageously colorful collection of people seen so far. CA needs to tone down the colors a bit. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/frown.gif

The white ones look cool, i wonder what type of bleach they use to keep their clothes so bright though http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/tongue.gif
They're almost certainly carthaginian, as you can look on the minimap and see the white faction control areas that carthage would control.
As for those purple guys, i have no trouble with them having a lot of color as it just makes the game look cooler. Remember we're going for a fun game not historical accuracy as that would be impossible.

I kinda agree that i don't like how the armies are represented on the camp map. I liked the chess pieces look of MTW. That roman legionaire looks alot beefier than the egyptian.
Other than that i think the map looks fine.
Btw i'm pretty sure urine has no cleansing properties...unless....

I agree, the look and sound of "wooden pieces" floating across the board was great.
But I don't think that model works with the new map type. Watching giants march around might be necessary. The battle map being selected by the exact location of a fight means exactly where you fight is now relevant.
Before you generally knew what the battlefield would look like. Now, you won't. Preengagment strategic manuever is now important. No cav? head for the wooded grove and make a stand there. Lots of cav, force the defenders out of the woods be reeking havoc on the contryside till they show their faces on the flatlands.
Quick note on the puny Egyptian. It is hot in Egypt, his lack of armor may be an advantage.

Actually it should be the opposite. in MTW it was kinda vague on exactly what terrain you would fight. Now you should be able to zoom down to the exact point your army is and see the exact look of the battlefield at that point.
But i do see your point that now you need a more accurate representation of where your army is. I just don't see how a giant man is more accurate than a chess piece.
Also good point with the egyptians.
I wonder if you have just a cavalry force the guy will be mounted. Perhaps all roman forces will have the same guy representing them. Same for all other factions as well.

The four Roman faction are three playable ones and the Senate.

Actually they shouldnt be that different at all. I believe the differences between the Roman Factions will be a throw back to the differences between the factions in original Shogun. Some Factions might start off with better provinces and different factions might be able to produce or recruit mercernaries at different prices.
I.E. Caesar can recruit Gauls and Germans for a cheaper amount than Pompey. However Pompey can recruit Greeks and Eastern mercenaries for cheaper than Caesar.
Not those exact guys but you know certain factions will have different spheres of influence in the rest of the world.

Wow...the Camp map looks truly wonderous. Especially the trees.
The white faction consists of carthagians, not romans http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

Yeah the fourth Roman faction is purple, which is the Senate. These are the guys you don't want to mess with.
By the way, i wonder if you are attacking one of the Romans as an outside force the other Roman factions will come to their aid. Seems like a reasonable thing to happen what with the new diplomacy and all.
Those Carthaginians sure do look like badasses. I think they might just have to be my first faction simply because they look cool. Oh and the elephants, cant forget the elephants. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wacko.gif
Probably the Senate will assign the other roman factions to help the third if masively attacked. I mean, you can now move armies through enemy teritory.

Yep. I read that the Romans have to work together at the start, as they're too weak to win individually.
I'm a bit confused about the Egyptian icon in this pic. It appears to be in the Mediterranean, but that couldn't be right. Any ideas on why its there? It may be related to that white building, but it appears to be too far above it to correspond with it.

This only confirms my assumtion that the Slavs are going to be in RTW. Just look at the map. The area they occupied at the time is on it.
