View Full Version : Modding - Female rulers
Greetings
I wonder if anyone knows how to make princesses heirs just like princes, or any other way to be able to get Queens or Empresses?

Greetings Varyar and welcome to the ORG, You pose an interesting question, while I dont think its possible to make a princess and heir and gain queen status by succesion, It would be possible to add a Queen by overwritng an existing King's portrait and make the appropriate name changes. LOS

would certainly make the game interesting when the queen couldn't find a good suitor and took a wife from the local nobility http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/eek.gif http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Actually the change would be purely cosmetic and would follow the data for a king so The Queen would be marrying a princess, If you wanted to add a Female of some import if you are modding in VI the best way would be to add via The Heores Default file as you can mod Portrait, Name starting stats, where and when she would show up etc.

yeah, i thing youcould only have lesbionic warrior Queens, but they would still be called King, coz if you change that title inthe translation files, all the monarchs would be called Queen best just to have famous princess' and imagination
Thanks
Well, the easy way to make it work I suppose is just to change the title king to queen, adding female ruler names and putting the princess portraits in the prince portrait map. Of course, you only get, as said, lesbian warrior princesses/queens and some weird Vices and Virtues(A perverse Queen who prefers boys rather than girls).
I'm still playing MTW 1.0 by the way... no VI http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/eek.gif http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/tongue.gif
BTW, do you know in which file the code linking a certain portrait folder to a certain character type(prince, general etc)is? I was hoping I could edit that.
