I bought Medieval Total War just over 5 weeks ago. I was playing Commandos 2 at the time and so short of a quick test and run through the tutorials I have only just got round to playing it for real.

I soon realised that I need to read the manual and it was then that I noticed that mine has a printing fault. The double sided printing of the centre 8 sheets has not worked meaning that I have a total of 16 blank manual pages. These are,

26,27,30,31,34,35,38,39,42,43,46,47,50,51,54,55.

I spoke to Activision Customer Support and they said that it is not there problem and I must sort it out with the retailler.

I bought the game over the internet and forsee a number of problems:

i) It is outside their 28 day warranty period
ii) If I can convince them, I will have to send the game back to receive a replacement. I will have to pay postage both ways.
iii) I will be without the game whilst the swap occurs.

So my two questions are:

a) Am I missing anything really useful on those pages
b) Would anyone be prepared to scan the missing pages and email to me.

Thanks in advance,

Nigel

Well you are missing quite a bit of the manual, the missing sections including religion, loyalty, the info parchments, battles and a lot of other useful information. However if you play all the tutorials (both battle and camp map) you should be OK. If you want to get more information after that then you should try reading my Beginners Guide to Total War, it's stickied at the top of this forum.

If you do that then there is no real reason why you would be missing anything from the manual. If you run into trouble you can always ask here, we don't flame people with questions, no matter how simple they are.

I have a PERFECT solution for you. Dont waste time exchanging your game, instead goto www.replacementdocs.com and do a search for medieval total war and you will find a downloadable manual. In fact this website is a hub for game manulas from all platforms.

Once again it is: www.replacementdocs.com

Hope this helps

okay, the manual sucks so no you're not missing much.

In fact you could just head to the table of contents and learn allot more about this game than you ever would with the manual.
