Hi all, i just started to play MTW. A like your foruns a lot it has a lot of useful information. Keep up the good work all of you.


I have a question that i didn't foud a suitable answer here. How can i build knights templar or Teutonic Knights being French or German?

I did crusades and sometimes the pope gives me units of them but can i built them in a province?

I think its possible because some provinces like jerusalem actually give bonus to them.

Sorry if this is a silly question.

btw i have the vikins expansion.

Nah, you can't build them. But, you can mod the game to allow this. Just read through some modding guides, it's an easy process.

PS. The same is true for footknights

Anyway, don't u guys thing its a bit silly to say in the campaign map that u get valor bonus to build knights templar in jerusalem?

If u can't build them anyway, what's the point?

I think maybe knights that are acquired through a crusade starting in the province get the bonus.

Yes in order to get that bonus. You must train a Crusade in that province. then you must hope that the Crusade contains these units. if you tain a Crusade and only Order Foot and Fannies turn up :-/ oth if you do get some Knights in, they will have higher starting valor.

the byzantines rock, except in late game spearmen. a whole cavalry army will slaughter any average byzantine army in high and late periods
