Keshin vs Shingen in Shinano

Cool, does this sort of thing ever happen to anyone else? I was playing Imagawa and wasn't even directly involved, but I noticed the great 6 star generals of Uesugi and Takeda facing off in Shinano, Kenshin from Echigo, and Shingen from Kai. I'm not sure who owned Shinano at the time of the confrontations.

Are historical face offs programmed to be more likely to happen if they can, or is that just a cool coincidence?

I know about the Kawanakajima confrontations, thas why I thought the meeting was significant, and wondered if this sort of meeting was intended by CA?
