If you mod unit and projectile stats, will the changes in the relative strengths of the units be reflected when you autocalculate a battle? Also will they be reflected in battles between two AI factions?

I'm using MTW 1.1

depends on what you mod, if you mod the stats of units then yes it will effect autocalc, if you made them stronger you will have less casualties, if you make them weaker you will have more casualties

Thanks This is good to know. Does this also apply to battles between two computer-controlled factions?

What about if you mod the projectile_stats file?
It'd be pretty tough to automatically calculate the new power of a modded projectile weapon...

And tuopaolo, as far as I have been able to tell autocalc works on the same principles for AI v AI battles as for AI v player battles so yes, it should apply to them too.

Welcome to the Org forums Vacuity. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wave.gif

Maybe someone from CA will jump in and give us an answer to a very good question. There are some who don't like the battle part of the game and just autocalc. It would be useful to know what all goes into the autocalc function.

sry been away a little while, in answere to your question, it has been my experience that if you mod the projectile stats it will indeed effect the out come of two computer factions.
