A question kind of related.

Do the start and finish dates of the MTW campaign referring to the Death of William the conquerer (1087) and the Fall of Constantinople (1453). Or are they in reference to something else?

You are exactly correct about the start dates of MTW. They refer to the death of William and the fall of Constantinople.
